RESTOCKING
THIS PANDEMIC DEALT US A MASSIVE BLOW.
While we were making progress to get Desert People more available, COVID-19 had other plans. We had to let some people go and scale down our plans for a bigger production.
Now I know a small t-shirt brand from El Paso might not seem important to some people but for us it means much more.
We’ve long believed that a brand means much more than what’s on the shirt, it’s how that brand functions in the world surrounding it. That idea can change a whole way a person can look at the world.
Living in El Paso, it felt like watching THE BIG GAME from the bench, never getting a chance to play. Step by Step we have introduced tees that we hoped didn’t feel forced, and could be taken as serious as all the brands out there. We had to keep pushing even when so many El Pasoans dismissed us as just another fad or delusional. WE WANT TO PLAY!
These decisions have kept the brand going for this long, so just know we are going to keep going….safe of course :)
